Al-Matraqa (The Hammer) was an illustrated satirical newspaper dealing with social and literary topics. The first issue was published in Jaffa on March 25th, 1933. It included reflections, stories, and cartoons. The editor wrote that the newspaper "does not concern itself with politics or parties." However, the newspaper supported the Mufti of Jerusalem Amin al-Husseini.
