Description:
Al-Nahda (The Renaissance) was a weekly literary newspaper, published by Wadi' Sanbar (father of the Palestinian historian, Elias Sanbar). The newspaper was first published in May 1929. It operated for one year only, during the period of riot and unrest that shook the country that year. It is therefore not surprising that the paper focused on these violent riots, following them closely and quoting items from other newspapers regarding the tense situation.
