בראש כרך א: "קונ' חזקת אורה, פנקס קטן ... על הפנקס הזה החילותי לכתוב חבורי חזקת אורה אשר תכליתו היא להפיץ אור על עניני חזקות". 1א-1ב: "יום א י"ד ימים לחודש מרחשוון שנת תרנ"ב לפ"ק לידא" "והאסון הנורא אשר קרה לה ע"י השרפה האיומה שהיתה פה ... נודע למדי במלא רחב ארצינו וגם מחוצה לה ונתפרסם ... ע"י קול הקורא אשר שלחנו ... לבקש רחמים וחסד מאת אחב"י ... והנה הודות להרוח הנדיבה ... קמו רבים מנדיבי עמנו ... וחשו לרוחתנו ולישועתנו, ואולם אין הקומץ משביע את הארי ... מצאנו כי אין לנו דרך ועצה אחרת בלתי אם לשלוח משולחים בכל עיר ועיר ובזה היינו שולחים את הרבני המופלג בתורה ... מו"ה שרגא ב"ר אהרן יהודא שוורץ ואת הרבני הישיש מו"ה אליה ב"ר זאב" בסופו חותמים ראשי הקהילה: "נאום יצחק יעקב רייענס" ואחרים. 2א רשימה של 4 קהילות שתרמו כסף: "באקשט", "באריסאווקא", "קרעווא", "זופראן" וחותמת "אליהו יעקב שור". 2ב תחילת החיבור. בראש כרך ב: חזקת אורה, פנקס גדול ... והוא שייך לחידושי ... לבאר כל יסודי דיני חזקה". 1א-7ב, דפים לאחר דף יב: קהילות ורשימות תורמים "בעד נשרפי עיר לידא ר"ל ... יום ג' ... י"ד כסלו שנת תרנ"ב לפ"ק". בין הקהילות "נימענציין" שבסוף רשימת התרומות חתום: "נאום יעקב במוהר"ר מרדכי סענדר הלוי ז"ל קאפשטיין חופ"ק", "דוקשטי", "ווידז", "נאווא אלכסנדראווסקע" (1א-7ב), "ביאלאסטאק" וחתום שם ראש הקהילה: "שמואל ... מאהליווער" (אחרי דף יב) ועוד. החבור עצמו מתחיל בדף ד.
