| "יבנה המקדש" הוא שיר מסורתי שהושר לא רק בפי החסידים, אלא היה שגור גם בפי החלוצים שהגיעו ארצה. שירי הערגה והכיסופים הזכירו להם את בית אבא שעזבו בנכר. השיר "שירו של אבא" ("יבנה המקדש" בשמו הנוסף) נכתב על-ידי המשוררת והמלחינה נעמי שמר לזכר אביה החלוץ, מאיר ספיר, ומכיל הדים של זיכרון מוסיקלי לשירים שאביה נהג לשיר. בראשונה בוצע השיר בידי רביעיית הבנות "האחיות שמר" בשנת 1966 ובהמשך בוצע בידי צוות הוי פקוד המרכז, נחמה הנדל, שולי נתן ואחרים. |
