	גבוה מעל המגדלים היונה פורשת כנף היונה דואה במרחב ועיניה כלות. גבוה כמו הענבלים עם עלות היום היא הומה ועם רדת לילה בדממה אברותיה קלות. הלאה, הלאה, על המים מרחפת עוד היא מחכה גבוה מעל הרי גלבוע מעל העננים הדרך ארוכה.

	השיר נכתב לראשונה לפסטיבל הזמר והפזמון בשנת 1972 אך לא התקבל. כעבור שנתיים הוא הוגש שוב ואז, אחרי מלחמת יום הכיפורים הוא נטען משמעויות חדשות והתקבל לתחרות. בשנה זו מתי כספי הלחין שיר נוסף שהתקבל לפסטיבל והוא "נוח".
