| ב-1951 כשהייתה בת ארבעים, שלחה לאה גולדברג לאברהם שלונסקי את מחזור השירים "משירי ארץ אהבתי" וכתבה לו כי זהו "צרור קטן משונה במקצת והם דברים שאינני בטוחה בהם." בנובמבר 1951 שלונסקי פרסם את השירים בכתב העת "אורלוגין". השיר השני במחזור הוא "בארץ אהבתי השקד פורח". השיר הולחן ב-1975 על ידי מוני אמרליו כשיר הנושא בתוכניתו של צוות הווי חטיבת הצנחנים "בארץ אהבתי". סולנית השיר היא רוחמה רז, שהייתה הכוכבת הגדולה של הצוות בתוכנית זו. |
