	השיר יצא לאור לראשונה בשנת 1932 כחלק מן ההצגה "הגיבור בפה" --ראיון של ציפי פליישר עם נחום נרדי, 21.4.1963, "התפתחותו ההיסטורית של שיר העם העברי" [1964], עמ' 347. פורסם במוסף לילדים של "דבר" בתאריך 18.3.1932 (עמ' 12), יחד עם שירי פורים נוספים של קיפניס ונרדי, כ"מהתלה לפורים".
