	לבנדובסקי הלחין קטעי תפילה לבתי כנסת אשכנזיים בגרמניה במאה ה-19, בזמן שכיהן כמנהל המוסיקלי של בית הכנסת החדש (Neue Synagoge‏) בברלין. הלחנים פורסמו בספרים "קול רנה ותפלה" (1871) ו"תודה וזמרה" (1876). היצירה "ובנחה יאמר" התפרסמה בשני הספרים. היא בוצעה כחלק מרפרטואר המקהלות הכללי בארץ בשנות ה-50 וה-60 ועד היום ניתן לשמעה מדי פעם בבתי כנסת אשכנזיים בארץ ובאמריקה. לחניו נועדו לביצוע על ידי חזן ומקהלה וחלקם גם לעוגב.
