Change in Opening Hours
Music Reading Room and Scholem Reading Room
Beginning on February 2nd, the opening hours of the Music Reading Room and the Scholem Reading Room will change slightly. From Sunday to Thursday both rooms will be open from 9:00 to 16:00. On Friday both rooms will be closed. For assistance with issues concerning the Music Department on Friday or beyond normal working hours, please contact the department director Dr. Gila Flam by email: Gila.Flam@nli.org.il
Items Held at Service Counters
Beginning on the 17th of November, 2019, items that are ordered to the reading rooms must be collected within 14 days.
This period may not be extended and items that are not collected within the timeframe will be returned to stacks. After 14 days, you will need to reorder the item to be able to collect it.
Once an item has been collected for the first time, you will have the option of extending its reservation by an additional 7 days.
System upgrade – unavailability of digital items
On Wednesday, February 12 2020, between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM, access to digital items will be unavailable due to an upgrade of the system
Upgraded Printing and Photo-Copying Services
We're pleased to announce that the Library has upgraded the printing and copy machine system with new and advanced technology.
We've positioned this new equipment specifically for the convenience of our visitors. In addition, the following new improvements have been put in place:
• Cloud printing through Mobile Print: You can send documents for printing from a laptop or any smartphone with email capabilities. • We've reduced the price of printing and photo-copying to 0.20 agurot a unit (down from 0.25 agurot) • You are now free to print documents from any and all the printers and photo-copiers spread throughout the library. • We have installed automatic paper feeders in all the machines. • You can now pay by credit card, as well as debit cards • Your payment is processed immediately after use.

Increase in Loan Limit Policy
In order to improve loan services to our readers, as of October 3, 2018, the allotted number of books that can be borrowed will be increased. The updated borrowing policies are as follows:
Number of books
Citizens, B.A. students
M.A. students, Library employees, Faculty and administrative staff of the Hebrew Univestiry,etc.
Lecturers and PhD students, Hebrew University professors etc.
Please note that the lending services requires a loan subscription that can be arranged at the circulation desk.
