מכתב של קהילת חברון לקהילות איטלקיות עם בקשת תרומות. המכתב הופקד בידי השד"ר חיים יוסף דוד אזולאי, החיד"א הידוע. הבקשה חתומה על ידי אהרן אלפנדרי ושנים עשר חברים נוספים הקהילה, אשר מסבירים את המצב הקשה של קהילתם, מחוייבת לשלם מיסים חריגים לשלטונות אוטמנים ומוכה בצורת בשנתיים אחרונות. עותק זה מופנה ליחזקאל הלוי והמקום לציון שם העיר נותר ריק. בעמוד האחרון יש הערה בכתב יד: "חברון, טו באב תקל"ב שווה ל... השדר של העיר הקודש הוא כבוד הרב חיים יוסף דוד אזולאי". המכתב הודפס בליוורנו. Appeal for charity sent by the Jewish community of Hebron in the hands of Rabbi Hayyim Joseph David Azulai (1724 - 1806) to all the Jewish communities of Italy following two years of drought and the imposition of heavy taxes by the Ottoman authorities. Signed 15 Av 5532 (August 14, 1772) by Rabbi Aharon Alfandari and twelve other representatives of the community. The copy from Valmadonna Collection was directed to Ezekiel ha-Levi, whose name was filled in by hand, though the space for the name of the city in which he lived was left blank.
