"שמי שמוליק רפאלי, ולאחר מות אהובתי ממחלה קשה, מצאתי את עצמי מתמודד עם השאלה, "זה מה שיש? ככה זה נגמר? נשיקה, ביי, ובור אין סופי? לא ייתכן!" אז יצאתי למסע שלימים ירחיב את הבנתי ותודעתי מ-"מה שאני יודע", ל-"מה שאני יודע שאינני יודע". ספר מרגש וסוחף, שהוא בעצם יומן אישי, העוסק תוך חשיפה רגשית אמיצה בשאלה אם קיימים חיים אחרי החיים וכמה אנחנו מבינים את סביבתנו הקרובה אך הנסתרת. המחבר, איש עולם המדעים, שדחה כל "עובדה" על מה שמעבר לקיומנו, מתמודד באומץ מול עובדות חסרות הסבר ומשתף את הקוראים במחוזותיהם המוכרים של הפיזיקה ובאלו הנסתרים. במסעו האישי הוא נפגש עם מתקשרים ומרפאים, תוך כדי שהוא מנסה להבין באמצעות המדע את הגילויים המסעירים בדבר חייו. הוא מגלה שאכן – יש משהו שהוא מעבר לנו, שיש עולם של קיום מעבר למוות, ושעולמנו המוכר אינו אלא רק חלק ממשהו גדול יותר, שעדיין אינו מוכר למדע, אך בהחלט קיים. זהו מסע לאורך ציר הזמן וגם לעבר ממדים שהתודעה האנושית מתקשה לתפוס, אך יותר מכל זה מסע מרגש של אדם אל תוך עצמו"-- מן האתר של ההוצאה.
