"הוא גדל במעלה חשמונאי: שם משפחתו, שם חבריו, שם מוריו ורבניו. משם קיבל את ערכיו ומעולם לא פקפק בהם, ונראה שימשיך לגור בהתנחלות, כי "עם ישראל זקוק לו שם". אביו משוכנע לגמרי בצדקת הדרך הזאת, ואילו אמו מעלה תהיות: האם באמת הכול ברור כל כך? נער בן 13 נקרע בין שני הוריו וצריך להתמודד גם עם הקשיים שמעלה גיל ההתבגרות בפנימיית נערים דתית. אין זה פשוט. לצד התאהבות בוסרית מתעוררים גם תשוקות ומאוויים שאסור לתת להם בשום אופן פורקן, ותחת הסייגים האלה קצרה הדרך בין להט הגוף ובין להט האמונה והמעשים שאולי כרוכים בה. האם יקום ויַראה עם חבריו לתושבי הכפר הערבי השכן מי הוא האדון כאן? ולא במילים אלא במעשים? שלב אחר שלב מתגלגלים הדברים ומידרדרים, לא רק בין ההתנחלות לכפר אלא גם בתוך ההתנחלות עצמה ואפילו בין כותלי הבית, עד שגם אמתות מוחלטות אולי ישנו את פניהן" -- מן המעטפת האחורית.
