"תארו לעצמכם שיום אחד אמא שלכם הופכת להיות ילדה בגילכם, מגלה שיש לה כוחות קסם ולוקחת אתכם להרפתקאות בעולמות קסומים... זה בדיוק מה שקורה לנטע-לי ולרון, תאומים בני שתים-עשרה וחצי, שלא מעלים בדעתם כי רותי, ילדה בת גילם שמופיעה בחייהם, היא בעצם אמא שלהם, נעמה, שקוסמים מעולם אחר הפכו אותה למשך חודש ל"אמא קסומה". לאחר שלוש הרפתקאות בעולמות הקסומים מתבקשת נעמה להעיד במשפט של הקוסם רב-הכוח אישמָדון, ולשם כך הופכת בפעם הרביעית ל"אמא קסומה". בדמותה של הילדה רותי, לוקחת נעמה את ילדיה לעולם הקסום, ויחד הם יוצאים למסע ארוך ומפותל לשחרור חיות שנלכדו בתוך מבוך מתוחכם ומסוכן. האם תצליח משלחת החילוץ, ובה בני אדם וקוסמים מעולמות שונים, לפעול כקבוצה מאוחדת? האם נעמה תהיה מסוגלת לעמוד במשימה שנתנו לה הקוסמים – לסמוך על ילדיה? והאם הפעם יגלו ילדיה שחברתם רותי היא בעצם אמא שלהם?" -- מן המעטפת האחורית.
