Prof. Otto Dov Kulka (1933-2021), Israeli historian. His research deals with the Nazi ideology and regime. His childhood experiences in the "Family Camp" in Auschwitz-Birkenau were depicted in his book "Landscapes of the Metropolis of Death". The archive contains correspondences with historians and research institutes, manuscripts and personal diaries, reviews on his books and research work, as well as material from the estates of his father, the historian Erich Kulka, his brother, the sculptor Dan Kulka, and his friend, the poet Gerschon Ben-David.

הארכיון כולל תיקי התכתבות רבים, נייריים ודיגיטליים, שניהל דב קולקה לאורך עשרות בשנים, רבים מהם עם היסטוריונים עמיתים ועם מוסדות מחקר בארץ ובעולם. הארכיון מכיל גם ביקורות על ספריו ומחקריו של פרופ' קולקה, יומנים אישיים, טיוטות והקלטות ששימשו בספרו "נופים ממטרופולין המוות", מסמכים אישיים של אביו, אריך קולקה, וכן תעודות מעיזבונו של בן דודו, הצייר דן קולקה, ומעיזבונו של ידידו, המשורר גרשון בן דוד.

Biographical summary אוטו דב קולקה נולד בצ'כוסלובקיה בשנת 1933 ונפטר בירושלים ב-2021. בספטמבר 1942 נשלח ע"י הנאצים למחנה טרזיינשטאט יחד עם אמו, ולאחר מכן למחנה אושוויץ-בירקנאו, שם שהה בבלוק הילדים בתוך מחנה המשפחות של יהודי טרזיינשטאט. את חוויותיו מתקופה זו רשם קולקה בסדרת מונולוגים מוקלטים, שהוקלטו לאורך שנות ה-90 של המאה ה-20. חלק קטן מהם עובד והובא בתוך ספרו "נופים ממטרופולין המוות".
בשנת 1949 עלה דב קולקה לישראל. בשנת 1958 החל את לימודיו באוניברסיטה העברית, ובה שימש לימים פרופסור מן המניין. פרופ' קולקה היה היסטוריון בעל שם עולמי, ושימש חוקר ומרצה אורח במכון למדעי היהדות, באקדמיה הישראלית למדעים, באוניברסיטת הרווארד ועוד. מחקריו של פרופ' קולקה עוסקים לרוב באידאולוגיה הנאצית ובמדיניות המשטר הנאצי, בחברה הגרמנית והיהודית-גרמנית בתקופת מלחמת העולם השנייה, ומבוססים על סקירות מקיפות של תעודות מקור בארכיונים רבים.
Ownership history הארכיון הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית בחודש פברואר 2018 ע"י פרופ' אוטו דב קולקה, ומאז נערכו כמה הפקדות באופן שוטף.
