שלושה תצלומים עוקבים, בלתי זהים, בהם נראית קבוצת חיילי צה"ל יחד עם חיילי צבא מצרים. תצלומים אלה נעשו ביום 4 בדצמבר 1948, באיזור הכפר וולאג'ה הסמוך אל ירושלים (בקרבת עין יעל בימינו). מקום זה נקבע כמפגש בין נציגי הצבאות, לצורך החזרת גופותיהם של חללי "מבצע יקב", שבו נפלו חיילי גדוד "מוריה", מידי המצרים לידי כוחות צה"ל. תצלומים אלה נתרמו לספרייה הלאומית על ידי מר יעקב יניב, אשר העיד כי הוא צילם אותם לאחר שחצה את הגבול עם כיתה בפיקודו שירדה מעמדת צה"ל בראש רכס מלחה אל קו הגבול הסמוך. החייל המצרי בעל החזות הסודנית, המופיע בימין שניים מן התצלומים, העיד לפני יעקב יניב כי הוא המקלען שקטל ביריותיו את החיילים ובסופו של דבר, גרם לכישלון המבצע שנועד לכיבוש רכס בית ג'אלה. אחד מן התצלומים הוא הדפס דיגיטלי, ואילו השניים האחרים הם הדפסי כסף מקוריים. |
