האוסף כולל חלקים מן הארכיונים האישיים של דמויות מרכזיות בתולדות חיי התרבות של יהודי רומניה, בעיקר בין שתי מלחמות העולם. חטיבה עיקרית באוסף זה היא של העתונאי, ההסטוריון והסופר משה שוורצפלד (Moses Schwarzfeld, 1857-1943). חטיבה משמעותית אחרת היא של ארכיון אריסטידה בלנק (Aristide Blank, 1883-1960). באוסף זה נכללים גם חלקים מארכיוניהם האישיים של אברהם רודיון שטוירמן (Avram Steuerman-Rodion), בנו ברנישטנו (Benno Brănişteanu) ואדולף שטרן.

האוסף הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית, בחודש מאי 1951 או סמוך לכך. על פי הרישום על התיקים המקוריים, הוא נשלח מרומניה (ייתכן באמצעות צירות ישראל שם) אל ד"ר אברהם שבדרון, לשילוב באוסף האוטוגרפים. יש לשער כי איסוף התיעוד והיוזמה לשלחו לישראל נעשו בידי ד"ר תיאודור לבנשטיין-לביא. |
