אלבום בכריכת דמוי-עור, בצבע תכלת, שבו נכרכו 14 דפי נייר עבה שחורים. על כל דף הודבקו מספר תצלומים וכן מעט גזרי עיתונות, המתעדים את מאסרם של מ"ג אסירי ההגנה - 43 מחברי ה"הגנה" שנאסרו ונשפטו ב-1939, ובתוכם משה דיין. האלבום כולל בעיקר תצלומי רפרודוקציה של קריקטורות שצויירו בעת המאסר על ידי אחד מן המ"ג, וכן תצלומים שצולמו במחנה מזרע ובכלא עכו, בעת מאסרם. בעמוד האחרון של האלבום, לצד ידיעות מן העיתונות הארצישראלית על שחרורם, הודבק גם תצלום של המ"ג באוטובוס שהסיע אותם ממחנה המעצר. ליד כל תצלום נוספו כתוביות, בדיו לבנה, המרמזות באופן הומוריסטי לאישים ולמאורעות המתוארים בציור או בתצלום. בראש האלבום נוספה הקדשה: "מזכרת לאלוף יוחנן רטנר מה-מ"ג". בכריכתו הפנימית של האלבום הודבקו שני דפים שבהם נדפסו דברי הקדמה תחת הכותרת: "עשרים שנה למאסר המ"ג". אלבום זה הופק בעותקים בודדים שניתנו כמזכרת לאסירים ולמפקדים בכירים ב"הגנה" לשעבר, במלאת 20 שנה למאסר המ"ג, בשנת 1959.
