Today an estimated 150,000 people were in the Old City of Jerusalea to mark the last Friday of the Moslem Month of Ramadan. The violence and murders that had been a feature of the past month were not repeated today. Heavy police presence ensured that there were no violent outbreaks. An assistant to the Mofti of Jerusalem was reported to have told the crowd to kill all Arabs who collaborate with Israel. Following this report the police were asked by various Knesset members to look into the matter and if necessary charge the cleric with racial incitement. All people were carefully checked for fire-arms before entering the Old City. Border police took away all identity cards at entrances to the city and these were returned as the worshipers left the area.; Photo shows: some of the thousands of worshipers flowing in to the Old City of Jerusalea for Friday prayers.
