Title ABIE NATHAN CALLS OFF HIS PROTEST FAST.
Scope and content Peace campaigner Abie Nathan called off his hunger strike of forty days today following an intercession by President Herzog who asked him to stop before he did irreparable harm to himself, The President agreed to see Nathan only after he had clear indication that he would stop his protest strike over the law that forbids Israelis meeting with the P.L,O, Immediately following his meeting with the President, Nathan was given a bowl of chicken soup with the President standing by him President Herzog had asked Nathan to stop his fast on humanitarian grounds and out of the President's respect for what Nathan had done in many parts of the world.
