Jewish religious law is quite clear concerning the importance of not cancelling a ceremony such as a circumcision or wadding if at all possible. Today with the threat of missile attack on Israel, public gatherings have been restricted, particularly in the Tel-Aviv and Haifa areas. Many arrangements have had to be curtailed and wedding parties that have been organized for many moths suddenly have to be cancelled - except for the wedding itself. Many couples have been married in their own hoses just with close relatives and friends in attendance. Honeymoons and wedding parties delayed until later in the year, Menachem and Yael Blatt were married by a rabbi in their house today. Yael's house was next door to the devastation caused by a Scud attack some six days earlier. Photo shows: Menachem and Yael Blatt pose with their gas masks for a very unusual wedding picture in front of apartments devastated by missile attack next to Yael's home.
