The file contains a silver plated award medal by Furst, diameter 67 mm. On the obverse a bust of Benjamin Count Rumford to left, around his name and: born 1753, died 1814. Below the bust the artist's name. On the reverse the inscription: Rumford Medal for Discoveries in Light or Heat. Awarded by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences to (name field blank).
