The file contains a bronze medal by Aug. Dupre, diameter 46 mm. On the obverse a bust to left, around the inscription: Benj. Franklin natus Boston XVII. Jan. MDCCVI. On the reverse a winged genius and a temple, around the inscription: Eripuit Coelo fulmen sceptrum que tyrannis. Below the figure: Sculpsit et dicavit Aug. Dupre Anno MDCCLXXXIV. On the edge: Bronze. Probably a modern restrike.
