The file contains:;a) an autograph letter of two pages written in London on 12 September 1826 to Charles Hatchett concerning proofs of a paper by Hatchett and own works by Faraday.;b) an autograph letter of two pages written in London on 4 Febrary 1828 to Pierre Berthier in Paris introducing Mr. Brant from Brazil.;c) an autograph note written in London in 2 June [1835?] admitting the use of the Royal Institution's library for Prof. Wenckebach.;d) an autograph letter of three pages written in London on 7 May 1840 to Madame Desmoutiers responding to a note and to a memorandum from Babinet.;e) an autograph letter of four pages written in London on 22 October 1844 to Charles L. Eastlake concerning Dinsdale's proposed application of hydrogen to lime. In Addition, there is a typed transcript of the letter.;f) an autograph letter of two pages written in Glasgow on 4 August 1849 to T.E. Venables concerning a problem in bleaching.;g) an autograph letter of two pages written in London on 19 December 1853 to Shaw declining an offer for a project due to his health.;h) an autograph letter of three pages to Madame Dumas, no place and date, concerning a book by Edgeworth Farady had sent as a present.
