The file contains:;a) an autograph letter of four pages written in Brunswick on 15 February 1806 to Wiliiam Allen in Cambridge concerning his teaching at Bowdoin College.;b) an autograph letter of four pages written in Brunswick on 7 June 1814 to Benjamin Silliman concerning a possiblbe translation of a work by Brongniart and a number of minerals;c) an autograph letter of two pages written in Brunswick on 21 January 1822 to Robert Hare in Philadelphia concerning college teaching.;d) an autograph letter of four pages written in Brunswick on 31 May 1825 to Robert Hare in Philadelphia concerning insights in galvanism.
