3 pp.; in-folio; French;;Copy of two letters which were written by Micahel Banajotti, écrivain de la douane de Suëz, [scribe at custom-house] in Suez, 30 Pluviôse, an 7 [18.2.1799];;The first: to the administrateur Général des finances concerning a boat sent by the Scherif of Mecca with a load of coffee;;The second to an individual in Cairo: giving additional details concerning the real purpose of the boat sent from Mecca; and (military) information concerning the General en chef [Bonaparte], the construction, arming and sailing of boats to unknown destination.
