Stiles.;Detailed letter from Captain [John] Stiles, on board Theseus at anchor, off the Pharos of Alexandria, 1.2.1800, to Sir Sidney Smith, relating to the seizing of a boat and of a number of letters concerning the treaty of El-Arish.;He sends Smith two papers concerning an agreement with four persons who came on board to treat with him, noting down Talien's name [Jean-Lambert Tallien], and a dispatch from Lord Nelson (not included here);;Also reports on shortage of water and wine; of a riot following diminution of wine allowances; and of the plague raging in Alexandria.
