The file includes 45 handwritten letters, nine postcards and three telegrams. One of the postcards shows Rolland's house "Villa Olga" close to Genève. The letters deal with the international PEN club, with Rolland's travels to Austria and Germany, with Zweig's "Drei Meister" and with Mahatma Gandhi, Franz Masereel, Maxime Gorky, Paul Ollendorff, Albin Michel, and Émile Fabre.
