Biographical summary משה נובומיסקי נולד בברוזין שבסיביר ב-1873. היה פעיל בתעשיית המכרות הסיבירית ובקהילה היהודית בה. היה ממייסדי החברה "סינדיקט א"י לתעשיות" ב-1906 לצורך חקר משאבי ים המלח. ב-1920 עלה לארץ. ב-1929 הקים את "חברת האשלג הארץ-ישראלית" להוצאה וייצוא של מלח מים המלח, וב-1946 את "דשנים וחומרים כימיים". בקום מדינת ישראל איבד נובומיסקי את זכיונותיו סביב ים המלח ובמקום חברותיו הוקמה החברה הממשלתית "חברת מפעלי ים המלח בע"מ". נפטר ב-1961.
