Biographical summary Max Shats-Anin was a Jewish left - wing socialist in Latvia and the Soviet Union, who believed in a territorial solution for the Jewish people. He wrote about politics and literature, mainly in Yiddish, some in Russian, German and Latvian.
Ownership history The archive was permanently deposited in the National Library by Shats-Anin's daughter, Ruta Shatz-Mariasch, in 1993. Until then, the archive was stored with his family in Latvia.
