Carl Ehrenstein (Vienna 1892 - London 1971), Austrian-British-Jewish author, poet and translator of English and Danish literature. Born in Austria, Ehrenstein moved to England in 1922 and worked there as translator of literature and as a literary agent for both English and German speaking authors and publishers. |

The archive was permanently deposited in the National Library by Ehrenstein's widow, Maud, after his death in 1971. |
