Each service being complete in itself, and accompanied by full directions in English to which are added the laws relating to the ritual, regulations affecting marriage, circumcision, burial, mourning, &c., &c. (compiled from Henry's Prayer Book).--Title page. "The basis of this volume is the Prayer Book emanating from the Rev. H. A. Henry, which possessed the great recommendation of having English directions accompanying the several portions of the service. These instructions have been revised and amplified where necessary... With a view, also, of enhancing the utility of the present issue, a number of laws and regulations pertinent to the Prayers, Festive Periods, Fasts, &c. has been embodied at the end... These rules have been entirely re-written, and have engaged the undivided and solicitous care of the compiler."--Preface. Prayers in Hebrew and English Torah readings in Hebrew only instructions and laws in English only. |
