Memoirs of Ronnie Goldstein-van Cleef, a Dutch Jew, as told to Roelofs. Pp. 31-104 deal with the Holocaust period. Ronnie van Cleef was born in 1921 in Amersfoort. Two younger handicapped siblings died in 1931. In 1935 the family moved to Den Haag. In the 1930s, her father gave aid to Jewish refugees from Germany. Her father was arrested in 1943 and deported to Sobibór, where he perished. Ronnie, as well as her mother, were hidden separately in many different places. She joined the resistance at the age of 19, was arrested in 1944, and deported to Westerbork, Auschwitz, and the labor camp of Libau (Latvia) where, after six months, she was liberated by the Russians.
