This photographic collection gives us a peek into the extensive activities of President Yitzchak Ben Zvi and his wife Rachel Yanait, in 1961, while he served as President of the State of Israel. The collection includes pictures from the ceremony of laying the cornerstone for the Romanian immigrant's camp, from Kfar Yerucham, and from the 50th anniversary of the settlements: Merchavia, Alonim, Biria, Kfar Giladi, Tel Adashim, Ifat, Degania Aleph and Nir David (Tel Amal). In addition it includes pictures from the archeological sites: Beit Shearim, Beit She'an, Korazim and from tours that the President and his wife took to the Farm for Agricultural Education, 'Talmei Avraham' in Ramat Gan and in Jerusalem neighborhoods end environs. The album also includes pictures from meetings with dignitaries, Ambassadors, members of the Diplomatic Corps, members of the Druze and the Samaritan communities and artists and other members of the cultural community.
