This collection of photographs provides us with a glimpse into the streets of Jerusalem (Jaffa and King George) months and a few days before the establishment of the State as well as unique photographs of the outpouring of joy by the masses in the yard of the National Institutions at the time of the Declaration of Independence of the State of Israel (5th day of Iyar 5728). On the second Independence Day celebration, in 1950, there are pictures of the military parade of the IDF and the security forces on King George Street near the building of the National Institutions.
