Photograph is printed in a book with a description beneath printed description: "(Exodus xiii: 19.)--'And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.' So we have pointed out to us to-day the tomb of Joseph about a mile and a half south of Shechem, on the parcel of ground purchased by Jacob. It stands at the eastern entrance to the valley betwen Mount Gerizin[sic] amd Mount Ebal. Jews, Samaritans, Christians and Mohammedans agree on the identity of this sacred place, The tomb is about six feet long, four feet high, covered with ordinary plaster, as are the Moslem graves of the country.
